Shower Arm and Elbow Connection is Leaking. I reattached the shower head then turned on the shower. The shower leak was plainly seen. Screw the spindle back into the body until they’re both flush. Then get the large body washer, slip that on, then slip in the new tap washer and it’s ready to go back into the wall. Spin it anticlockwise a few times until you find the thread and then screw it all the way in finger tight, and finish it off with the ring spanner.Once the shower head is loose, inspect it to see if it is clogged with limescale. If so, let it soak in a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda for 30 minutes. You can then take a toothbrush and gently scrub away any remaining mineral deposits. You may also need to take a toothpick or thin metal wire to clean out any remaining deposits from Unscrew and remove the faucet handle to expose the diverter valve. Immerse the faceplate or showerhead in white vinegar for 8 hours. Replacing a Worn Rubber Washer. Use plumbing Teflon tape to stop the leakage.
