I have the first decade edition of Command and Conquer and all the thread I have read are all talking about using a .InI file and are rather old threads.
Go to where you had installed the game (typically something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Command & Conquer Generals and Zero Hour) and delete all the folders there. Restart your PC. Re-install the game through Origin again. Download GenPatcher . Run it and click on Apply Fixes .

Go to File>Open>EnglishZH.
